Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program

The Government of Pakistan has established the Ehsaas Program 8171 to help those who have been significantly affected by the coronavirus and are facing financial difficulties.

The program targets individuals such as daily wage earners and labourers who cannot work due to security measures.

Eligibility for this program

The following points clarify which sectors and individuals can apply for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program and who cannot:

  • Employees working for state and federal government departments are ineligible.
  • All provinces, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, are included in this program.
  • Women beneficiaries who have already received Rs 12,000 through the Ehsaas Kafala program are eligible.
  • Provincial governments also provide funds through the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program.
  • Punjab will allocate 7 million rupees and Sindh 2.5 million rupees to help the poor.
  • Other provinces also provide payments to support their residents.

Requirements and how to apply?

Follow the steps below carefully to apply for Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program:

  1. Start by filling out the form provided.
  2. Enter your CNIC and mobile number.
  3. To receive payment, visit the nearest HBL branch or use branchless banking channels such as ATMs and the HBL Connect mobile application.
  4. Send your CNIC to 8171 and register.
  5. Make sure to send the ID card registered in CNIC from the mobile number which you provide.
  6. In both types of registration, the applicant receives a confirmation message if eligible.

The documents required to apply for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program are as follows:

  • CNIC.
  • Registered mobile number.
  • Email (optional).
